NOW and Then

Well my dear sons you are all grown up now.  I am very proud of all of you and as far as i can tell you all are healthy, somewhat wealthy and wise.  Now lets consider how you got to this stage in your life.  According to today’s statistics you are lucky to be alive.

For instance, your mama (which is me) always had a big addiction to cigarettes.  Every one of you had to endure 9 months of smoke.  In today’s world they say that’s a definite no-no.  And just think, none of you wore seat belts and sometimes rode the front seat.  I can also remember giving a few spankings along the way…..

Well things sure have changed.  Sometimes i think the lifestyle improvements override the natural order of things.

We had to endure a lot more than 9 months of smoke…we had to endure smoke on every trip in the car — especially in the winter with the windows rolled up. And it was double-bad with you and dad both in there chain-smoking.

But yeah, we made it through.

Put up a new post already! You have high-speed internet now! :-)
